Hasht Behesht Palace

Hasht Behesht palace meaning “Eight Paradises” that in the distant past it called the best palace in the world, was built in shah Suleiman Safaviye days in 1669.

A large garden that building is located on it.it was a part of Naghsh-e Jahan garden and was built by Shah Esmayil Avval (I) , and then it divided to several parts in shah Abbas I days. Hasht Behesht garden was from shah Savafi times. And in shah Abbas II and shah Suleiman the trees of this garden had improved. Note that castle building belongs to shah Suleiman Safavi days that the garden was repaired and completed those days. According to historian saying this garden was for eight belles of king that 4 of them were in ground floor and the other lived in the first floor.

This two building with nice fellows and lots of decoration is a brilliant evidence of Safaviye day’s architecture. This palace at first was called “ Hasht behesht palace”  “ Hasht dar Behesht”

The central part of garden has 4 vault and its porch is to the north .it’s roof is covered by colorful and well-designed chalky.
